Hari Har Bedhi Narak Gami

Hari Har Ekatva denotes Paramātma and Jeevatma ekatva.
A direct Śaiva response to claims that use Hari–Hara abheda to erase the supremacy of Lord Śiva.
Hari Har Bedhi Narak Gami

Opening Note

This article directly confronts the sectarian propaganda, theological manipulation and distorted arguments that are used to degrade Lord Shiva and then hidden behind convenient slogans about Hari–Hara equality.

When scriptural statements are selectively quoted to erase the supremacy of Shiva, the claim must be answered directly from the same śāstric ground rather than being allowed to survive through repetition, sentiment or convenient interpretation.

The issue here is not ordinary devotion to another deity. The issue is the misuse of scripture to belittle Lord Shiva, followed by an attempt to escape criticism by invoking Hari–Hara abheda without first establishing what that abheda actually means.

Hari Har Bedhi Narak Gami

There are some Gaudiya Vaishnavas who degrade Lord Shiva by making blasphemous posts against him by showing him inferior to their Isht dev who's not even Ishvarā because of the jealousy with the Supreme Godhead, Shiva.

When they get bashed they give the following statement:

The statement:
Hari Har Bedhi Narak Gami

Before that we've to understand that shilokas in which it is said Lord Shiva = Lord Vishnu and differentiating between them is thrown into hell.

Hari Har Ekatva denotes Paramātma and Jeevatma ekatva. And there is no difference between them. Why one should not diffentiate between Hari-Har? Because it's Lord Shiva himself in both forms.

Let's See The Few Shilokas:

तबाहं दक्षिणाद्धस्तात्सृष्टः पूर्व पुरातनः ।
वामहस्तान्महाबाहो देवो नारायणः प्रभुः ॥ ४४ ॥
From your right hand the ancient I [Brahma] was born. Lord Prabhu Narayan was born from left hand.
~ Ling Puran; Purva Bhag; CH-102.44
Whose Vamang is Vaikuntha (Vishnu) is his left limb, I (Brahma) happens to be his right limb, while Rudra happens to be his heart. Thus Rudra is conceived to be of three types.
~ Shiv Puran; Rudra Samhita; Srishti Khand; CH-16.36
On my right side are the world's father Brahma, on my left side is the sustainer Vishnu and in my heart Hara is situated.
~ Karma Purana; Purva Bhag; CH-25.92
O dear one, having divided himself and the region there, he (Lord Shiva) created from his right side the son, viz. Brahma and Hari from his left side.
~ Padma Puran; Patal Khand; CH-108.5-6

As it's clearly seen that everyone is born from Lord Shiva thats why in Shvetashwara Upnishad 3.2- एको हि रुद्रो न द्वितीयाय तस्थुः Rudra is indeed the one. there is no one greater or equal to him". When everyone is Shiva therefore there is no bhedh.

Now Let's Come To The Second Point:

Does Lord Vishnu reside in Lord Shiva's heart? Yes because Lord Vishnu is "Samasti Jeev" means compiled form of all living beings.

Brahma Is The Best Among The Above Incarnations. Vishnu Is The Main One Among Them. Vishnu. Samashti Vishnu (of Whom All Are Incarnations) Is Superior To The Individual Incarnations Of Vishnu. 17

~ Skanda Purana, Suta Samhita, Vol-4, Ch-27.7

The Kriyashakti Of Sukshma Mahabhuta Together By Order Of Shiva Forms Samesti Prana.among Trimurthy This Samesti Prana Is Called As Vishnu.the Sukshma Atma Who Is Explained In Vedas To He Indweller Of All Is Maheshwara (shiva).

~ Skand Puran, Suta Samhita, khand 1, Ch. 11.1

To Rudra Who Is Vishnu, And To Uma Who Is Lakshmi. ||18||

~ Rudrahriday Upnishad-verse.18

Salutations To Rudra, Who Is Bhagawan, To The One Who Takes The Form Of Vishnu

~ Atharvasirasupanishad-verse.2

Salutations To Rudra, Who Is Creator Of Vishnu, Transcend Us From Mrityu(death).

~ Yajurved-sri Rudram

The Soma(shiv Sahit Uma: Refer To Rigved 6.74.1 And Yajurved Sri Rudram 8.1) Flows, The Genitive Rator Of Praises, The Genitive Rator Of Heaven, The Genitive Rator Of The Earth, The Genitive Rator Of Agni, The Genitive Rator Of The Sun, The Genitive Rator Of Indra, And The Genitive Rator Of Vişņu.

~ Rigved 9.96.5

LET'S SEE MORE PROOFS FROM THE PURANAS AND ITIHAS:

इति देवः पुरा प्रीतः सत्येन हरये परम् ।
ददौ स्वसाम्यमत्यर्थं देवसङ्गे च पश्यति ॥ ३३ ॥
Lord Siva Was Pleased With Vişnu Because Of His Truthful Conduct And In Full View Of All The Gods He Bestowed On Him, Equality With. Himself.
- Shiv Puran, Vindyeshwar Samhita, Ch-7.33
By The Grace Of Me You Will Become Nārāyaņa With Unending Strength Among The Deities, Humans And Gandharvas.
~ Mahabharat: 7:172:74

It was Lord Shiva who gave boon to Lord Vishnu that you'll be as equal as me.

Lord Shiva Says To Nandi: He Who Hates You Hates Me, He Who Worships You Worships Me. There Is No Difference Between Us Just As There Is None Between The Sky And Air.

~ Varah Puran, Ch~213, Verse 75

It's does not mean we should Say Nandi = Shiva. Nandi is the greatest Shiva bhakt. Lot of bedham occurs here. In reality no one is equal to Supreme Godhead Lord Shiva.

The Fate Of Those People Who Compare Other Devtas With Lord Śiva:
रुद्रप्रसादजाश्चेति न वदन्ति दुरात्मकाः ।
ब्रह्मा च भगवान् विष्णुः शक्रश्च सम एव च ॥ ६०
Those Foolish People Who Say Brahma, Vishnu, Indra Are Equal To Shiva, O Alakshmi Do Reside In Their House.
~ Linga Puran, Uttar, Ch-6 Verse 59-61
Those Durjan Who Out Of Delusion Consider Brahma, Vishnu, And Others To Be Equal To Shiva, Yama Tourchers That Person In Hell.
~ Suta Samhita Khanda 4,ch~18.59

From All The Evidences I've Showed You Neither Lord Vishnu Is Equal To Shiva; Nor You Should Call Any Other Dev Equal To Him. But Yes Hari Har Bedhi Means All Shiv Bhatks Should Respect Lord Vishnu And Should Not Insult Him.

Therefore Its Clear That Hari-har Bedh Is Nothing Just The Connection Between Jeevatma (vishnu) And Paramatma (Shiv).

Note:

Some Mudhas Try To Show The Mata Lalita, Who Is No Different From Lord Shiva As The Consort Of Vishnu. Mata Lalita Is The Mother Of Lord Vishnu And Her Sampoorna Avtar Mata Parvati Accepts Him As Her Brother.

Those People Who Say Vishnu Is Her Consort, Either You Are The Son/daughter Of Any Islamic Person Or This Is The Atmosphere Of Your Home Which Means The Same Happened With You Or At Your Home.
