Gopēśvara Mahādēva
I want to emphasize right at the start of this post that I do not intend to offend any 'True' follower of Lord Krishna. This post serves as a revelation only for the zealots who have consistently been seen mocking Lord Shiva.
Personally, I hold no hostility toward any aspect of God. Regrettably, our Sanatana Dharma of Hinduism has unfortunately fragmented into cults in the 11th century.
Many of the cults deliver incorrect messages about Lord Shiva, make derogatory comments about him, and attempt to portray him as a subordinate to their preferred deity (Krishna, Rama, Vishnu, etc.). However, according to the Vedas, Upanishads, and genuine scriptures, the truth is completely the contrary to these assertions.
As Śaiva my work is to spread devotion to Lord Shiva and attempt to refute the allegations made against Him.
People Are Narrating The Baseless And Fictional Story Of Gopeshwar Mahadev To Degrade Lord Shiva.
According To Fictional Story:
Lord Krishna and Sri Radha Rani along with the gopis were performing Raas Leela on the night of Sharad Purnima, when Lord Shiva expressed his wish to be a part of the same to experience the bliss of Raas Leela. However, Lord Shiva, being a male was not permitted to do so and was stopped by Vrinda Devi.
Determined to participate, Lord Shiva started praying and meditating on Goddess Radha who gave him permission to join Raas Leela after getting induced into Sakhi Bhav.
Lord Shiva took a dip in the holy Yamuna river and emerged as a beautiful damsel, after which he was allowed into the Raas mandal.
Being an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva himself, Lord Krishna recognised the female guise of him and named her Gopeshwar Mahadev.
This Fake Story Is Mentioned In A Sectarian Granth "Garg Samhita"!
IS GARGA SAMHITA REALLY AUTHENTIC?
The Garga Samhita traditionally is an astrological and architectural text, but some fanatics have created their own version of Garg Samhita to support their false claims.
Purvapaksha also Quote "Agni Puran" To Authorize The Fake Made-up Garga Samhita. Initially, These people Claims That Agni Puran Is A "Tamasik Puran", but As Soon As Their Personal Interests Arise, They Begin To Quote From It.
You can clearly see it's "Gargya Tantra" not "Garg Samhita".
This Is Agni Puran's Quoted Verse [chapter 39, Verse 1-5] By Shiv Drohis. However, This Verse Does Not Talk About Any "garga Samhita" That Discusses A Fabricated Story About Gopeshwar Mahadev; Rather, It Speaks About The "Gargya Tantra", Which Is A "Vastu And Shilpa Shastra".
WHO'S ACTUAL GOPESHVARA MAHADEV?
Skanda Puran; Prabhas Khand; Kshetra Mahatmya; Adhay 120:
For The Sake Of Sons Gopis Installed The Shivling And After Getting Boon From Maheshwar It Was Named As "Gopēśvara Mahadev"
Stop relying on neo cult narratives, sectarian texts, and hearsay stories that lack authentic evidence or scriptural foundation. Instead, study the actual Śāstras and engage with primary sources before forming conclusions!
